Michelle Batchelor, NCC, LGPC
Michelle Batchelor is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who provides compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, mental health challenges, and complex trauma.
She has a deep commitment to serving historically minoritized communities, with extensive experience supporting women of color, LGBTQ+ clients, and those exploring spirituality as part of their healing journey.
Michelle earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University and her B.A. in Economics from Spelman College. Her clinical training integrates therapeutic assessment, culturally responsive care, and evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused interventions. She also weaves mindfulness practices throughout her work, helping clients build resilience, reduce stress, and deepen self-awareness. With more than 15 years of leadership and direct service in behavioral health, Michelle brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, systems knowledge, and cultural humility to her practice. She is dedicated to creating a safe and collaborative space where clients feel seen, empowered, and supported in building meaningful and lasting change.
Outside the therapy room, Michelle is passionate about travel, exploring new cultures, and creating joyful connections. You can often find her riding her bike through Washington, DC, or spending quality time with family and friends.
