If you or your organization would benefit from a pay-what-you-can model for accessing Dandelion Collective resources, please send us an email at aly@dandelioncollectivedc.com. We will keep in touch with updates on our fundraising efforts and do what we can to support you as efficiently as possible.

Support Community Spaces

In creating Dandelion Collective DC, it is our intention to create accessible resources for the LGBTQ community. We understand how important it is to have a space to physically gather. We believe that, through creating access to a reliable and safe, physical space, we are able to help elevate grassroots projects that support the wellbeing of our community.

At this time, we are established as an LLC and are looking into converting to a 501c3. Until we are established as a non-profit, the grants that we are eligible for are quite limited. Additionally, due to factors outside of our control, we missed the deadline to apply for several local 2024 small business grants. For now, we have established a community fund, giving members of the community the opportunity to help us make our resources accessible.

Overall, we have three funding goals:

  1. Building Capital Fund. Secure funding to cover the full operating costs for 2 offices (1/3 of our available space). With this, we will be able to offer a pay-what-you-can model to accessing the space. Ultimately, opening additional pathways to resource access for LGBTQ community organizers and human services providers.

  2. Mental Health Resource Fund. These funds would be made available to any mental health professional in our building. If a client needs reduced fee or pro bono services, the provider would be able to request access to this fund.

  3. Training Fund. These funds would be put toward bringing trauma-informed trainings with an LGBTQ focus to our building.

Grassroots Fund

Through taking a mutual aid approach to funding resource access, the control of our resources is maintained within our community and we are best able to ensure that the future direction of DCDC is led by the interests of our community.

Grants

In addition to community fundraising, we are actively applying for local grants. If you have information on a funding opportunity, please feel free to email us.

Non-profit Status

We are currently working towards establishing ourselves as a non-profit organization. If you would like to be involved in this effort, send us an email, we welcome support in all forms.
